About Us

THE HAPPINESS POTION

"Shame dies when stories are told in safe spaces"

The Happiness Potion was founded in 2020 with a vision to make mental health accessible, inclusive and to create an emotionally safe, open and non-judgemental space facilitated by qualified and ethical professionals.

Since its inception, we have supported more than 500 clients in their healing journey, worked with various organisations and students and been actively working towards bridging the gap between stigma and support.
Besides providing mental health services, THP is also a platform where we
CELEBRATE YOU for who you are, create a safe space to talk about your mental health struggles and feel heard. We know how difficult it can be but we are here to tell you that a different way IS possible. Whatever your experiences or struggles are, there’s a way out. We got you.

Dhwani Agarwal, Founder (she/her)

Hello! I am a counselling psychologist with a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology. I work with a humanistic, client-centered approach with a trauma sensitive & integrative lens. I use an eclectic approach (IFS, CBT, Mind-body connection) depending on what works best for my clients.

Being a therapist is truly a privilege. Lending a listening ear to my clients, holding space for their stories of resilience, hope, tears, pain, perseverance and so much more, learning and empathising with them makes my heart full. My focus is to encourage and guide individuals to understand themselves better and view their imperfections as very human parts that deserve to see the light of day. I offer individuals a safe space where they can hold on to hope, be who they are, talk about anything that’s on their mind and make them feel heard. In a world which constantly expects us to be okay and at our best game all the time, I think therapy provides a wonderful space to connect with ourselves and meet us just where we are. I believe in looking at individuals beyond labels and am passionate about creating a vocabulary and space for mental health support that is accessible and destigmatising.

‘Well done,’ said the horse. ‘For what?’ asked the boy.
‘For hoping, for taking a step, for trying again, not giving up.’
